Overview
Our Lady’s Little Christians is an early-learning program for children, three and four years-of-age, licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care. We adhere to all guidelines set forth by the Archdiocese of Washington. We are a nonprofit operation, funded solely by the tuition charged for each student.
Our Lady’s Little Christians follows the State of Maryland school entrance requirements as well as the requirements set forth by the Archdiocese of Washington which state a child must be three or four years old on or before September 1 to enter our preschool program.
We offer small class sizes, a weekly chapel service, an introduction to Spanish, an introduction to Sign Language, a two- or three-day program for three-year-olds, a five-day program for four-year-olds, and three-hour classes for all of our morning and afternoon sessions.
The goals of our program are as follows: 1. To foster growth and development (physical, social, emotional). 2. To foster skill development (knowledge, creativity, independence). 3. To create a spiritual atmosphere in which a positive self-image can be built. 4. To provide the best early childhood education for our students.
Our Lady’s Little Christians is guided and supported by an advisory board which consists of parents and parishioners of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. The preschool board meets at 7:00pm on the first Thursday of each month from August through May.
Program for Three-Year-Olds AM Session: 8:30am – 11:30am 8 students – 3-day Session (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 8 students – 2-day Session (Tuesday, Thursday)
PM Session: 12:30pm – 3:30pm 8 students – 3-day Session (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 8 students – 2-day Session (Tuesday, Thursday)
Program for Four-Year-Olds AM Session: 8:30am – 11:30am 18 students (Monday through Friday)
PM Session: 12:30pm – 3:30pm 18 students (Monday through Friday)

Registration Schedule for School Year 2008–2009
Current Students and Siblings: February
5–February 15, 2008 * May phone-in on these dates between 9:00am–3:00pm to schedule an appointment to register on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 10:00am–12:00pm. On this Saturday, there will be an opportunity to tour our facilities, meet current staff, answer questions, and complete all required paperwork.
Registration Requirements

$35.00/year for PS-5 Day All checks should be payable to Our Lady’s Little Christians.
The registration fee, annual activity fee, and school bag fee are not refundable for any reason. Requests for refunds of prepaid May tuition will be considered on an individual basis. A two-week written notification is required. Approval by the Board of Directors and a replacement for the vacancy are prerequisites for any consideration.
Tuition for School Year 2008–2009 $135.00 per month (September–May) for 2-day 3-year-old program $170.00 per month (September–May) for 3-day 3-year-old program $205.00 per month (September–May) for 5-day 4-year-old program
There is a $50.00 discount, per child, for anyone
desiring to pay the full year’s tuition in advance. This $50.00 discount
is based on the total tuition for all nine months and your prepaid May tuition
will be credited. If you want to take advantage of this discount, the total
payment must be received no later than the last school day in September. All checks should be payable to Our Lady’s Little Christians. |
